Nine views of legs from the yellow Saw-fly (Cimbex lutea) at x100, x400 and x1,600 magnification. Signed lower left "Franz Bauer". Royal Society stamp verso, with an inscription in ink: "Figs. 1,2,3 are magnified 100 times. Figs. 4,5,6,7 - 400 times and Figs. 8,9, - 1600 times."
