Ornithological study of a female Red Wattlebird (Anthochaera carunculata) native to Australia. Plate 7 from Journal of a voyage to New South Wales...by John White (J.Debrett, London, 1790). The accompanying text states that: "The female Bea-eater is stouter in the body and in the legs, more brilliant in the plumage, the bill more curved..." The plate is inscribed: "S.Stone Delin. The Wattled Bee Eater, Female. London Published as the Act directs Dec: 29, 1789, by I.Debrett."
