'The Small Paroquet'
Ornithological study of the Little Lorikeet (Glossopsitta pusilla) a bird native to Australia. Shown perched on a low tree branch. Plate 48 from Journal of a voyage to New South Wales...by John White (J.Debrett, London, 1790). The accompanying text states that this is: "Green Paroquet, with somewhat lengthened tail; the feathers round the beak, and the base of the tail feathers, red." The plate is inscribed: "S.Stone Delin. The Small Paroquet. London Published as the Act directs Dec: 29, 1789, by I.Debrett."
