Full length studio portrait of Walter Crum leaning with his right elbow on a marble sculptural plinth, a patterned curtain to the left of picture. The reverse is stamped: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, PHOTOGRAPHERS, 55, Gracechurch St. & 187a, Piccadilly, LONDON." Walter Crum was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1844.
