A study of Taylor as a sleeping child, by his father, half-face, one shoulder covered by a blanket. Inscribed on reverse: "Geoffrey Taylor age about three years. Drawn by his father Edward Taylor. Left to Professor Kapitza by Sir Geoffrey October 12th 1976." Geoffrey Ingram Taylor was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1919.
