Sarah Faraday, is shown seated before a desk upon which there is a potted fern; Mrs Faraday holds a letter on her lap, in her right hand. Inscribed verso, "Mrs Faraday Easter 1874 given me by Mrs Faraday" [by William Fletcher Barrett]. Engraved verso, gold on a green ground: "T.C. Turner, photographer & portrait painter, 17 Upper Street, Islington and 10 Barnsbury Park, Barnsbury." Numbered "26729".
