Portrait of James Jeans (1877-1946)
Half length portrait, seated, the right hand gripping the arm of his chair. Looking directly to the viewer, Jeans wears a grey suit, white shirt and blue tie. James Jeans was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1906.
