Lifelike portrait of Newton from a bust depicted in a semicircular niche. Inscribed below: "Sr.ISAAC NEWTON. Done after the Marble Bust, in Her Majesty's Hermitage in the Royal Garden at Richmond. Printed for Tho: Bowles in St.Paul's Church Yard & John Bowles at the black Horse in Cornhill." Isaac Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, he served as its President from 1703 to 1727.
