Full length studio portrait of General Francis Rawdon Chesney standing in military uniform, left hand upon his sword hilt, facing to the left as viewed. Printed below the image: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, LONDON. The reverse has various inscriptions. Printed: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, Photographers, 55 GRACECHURCH STREET, and 187a, PICCADILLY LONDON." Francis Rawdon Cheseney was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1834.
