Full-length studio portrait of Babington in outdoor dress: the sitter wears an overcoat and holds gloves in his right hand, a top hat in his left. Babington is posed leaning on elbow upon a wooden plinth, looking to camera. Printed below the image: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, LONDON". The reverse has various inscriptions. Printed: "MAULL & POLYBLANK, Photographers, 55 GRACECHURCH STREET, and 187A, PICCADILLY LONDON." Benjamin Guy Babington was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1828.
