Side view of the skull of a seal preserved in the Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons. The animal was "brought by Mr Kearn, in a Whaler, from New Georgia, near the ice towards the South Pole". Signed and inscribed lower left "Wm. Clift delin. 1822. Scale. Half an Inch to an Inch."
