'Montemurro'

Landscape view of the clay bank below the town of Montemurro, Italy, above which is the nearly completely destroyed [by earthquake] town, with ruins visible on a plateau. Inscribed verso in ink and pencil "Monte Murro" and numbered "21". Inscribed in pencil "Photog 259". Reproduced as a lithograph in Mallet's 1862 Report, vol.2 pp.2-3. Collected by Robert Mallet.
