Hummingbirds

Ornithological study of a male [top left] and female [top right] purple-throated mountaingem, Lampornis calolaemus, referred to here as Oreopyra calolaema, and; a male [bottom left] and female [bottom right] white-bellied mountain gem, Lampornis hemileucus, referred to here as Delattria hemileuca. Three are shown perched on an unknown shrub, one is coming into land. Purple-throated mountaingems occur in southern Nicaragua, northern Costa Rica and western Panama, and white-bellieds occur in the Talamancan montaine forests.
