Plate VI from Physico-mechanical experiments on various subjects, by Francis Hauksbee (London, 1709), presented to the Royal Society by the author on 26 October 1709. Hauksbee (ca.1660 û 1713) was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1705, and was the Society's Curator of Experiments from 1703 to 1713.
