Unused illustration for the paper "On the late extraordinary depression of the barometer", by Luke Howard, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.112 (1822), pp.113-116. Version of a clock barometer tracing showing air pressure for the period November-December 1821 with a record low reading. The chart also contains data on rainfall and wind directions for the same period. A note below states: "This drawing was cancelled, and the Engraving [plate 13] was made from the original document in the author's Possession."
