Dolphinfish and combfish
Ichthyological study of a common dolphinfish, Mahi-mahi, here styled Delphinus Belgis [top], and a Xyrichtys novacula, here styled Pesce pectine and under the common name ‘comb-fish’.
Printed inscription: ‘1. Delphinus Belgis/ 2. Pesce pectine/ Tab: O:2 Sumptibus D. Ferdinandi Mendes. D. Med. Reg’ with further handwritten annotation ‘The Dolphin of the Ocean Guaraca=pema Dorado/ 1. An Hippurus Rondel/ 2. Novacula piscis Rondel. Gesn. Comb-fish’ Numbered ‘102’ in the top right-hand corner.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
