'Argonauta argo' [Greater argonaut]

Marine zoological study of the Greater Argonaut (Argonauta argo). The cephalopod is presented as if swimming. Plate 1 bis in the section "G.Argonaut" from the book Histoire naturelle generale et particuliere des cephalopodes acetabuliferes vivants et fossiles.., by AndrÚ ╔tienne d'Audebert de FÚrussac (1786-1836) and Alcide Charles Victor Marie Dessalines d'Orbigny (1802-1857) (Paris, 1848). Various inscriptions, including below: "Morelli et Siesto del. A. Chazal in lap.del. Lith de Delaporte. A.Argo, Linne."
