Inscribed below: "AGARICUS (AMARNITA) STRANGULATUS.FR. E. Fries direx. E. Petterson del.Lith. o.tr.h. Abr.Lundquist & Co." Elias Magnus Fries (1794-1878) was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1875.
