Periscopic camera obscura

Plate 9 from the paper "On a periscopic camera obscura and microscope", William Hyde Wollaston, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol.102 (1812), pp.370-377. Five figures sketching basic optical details of a conventional and periscopic camera obscura, periscopic prism of a camera lucida and a periscopic microscope. The work is inscribed above with publication and plate details. Not signed. Royal Society stamp verso. Watermarked "Ivy Mill 1807."
