The four wheel'd orrery' from A dissertation upon the phaenomena of the harvest Moon; also, The description and use of a new four-wheel'd orrery, and an Essay upon the Moon's turning round on her own axis, by James Ferguson (London, 1747). James Ferguson (1710û1776) was a natural philosopher and inventor of scientific instruments. An orrery is a mechanical model of the Solar System, based on Copernican principles.
