Woolsthorpe Manor

Landscape view of Sir Isaac Newton's birthplace in Lincolnshire, in trees and with two sheep in the foreground. Inscribed above "Engraved for the History of Lincolnshire" [eg Thomas Allen's "The History of the County of Lincoln, from the earliest period...Embellished by numerous views" (London & Lincoln , 1834) ]. Inscribed below: "WOLSTHORPE. THE HOUSE IN WHICH SIR ISAAC NEWTON WAS BORN, To C.Babbage Esq. this Plate is respectfully inscribed by the author. J N Rhodes Delt. W Watkins [fl.1809-1842] Scult. LONDON PUBLISHED 1832".
