Half-length portrait of Newton aged 59 in 1702. Oval frame, Newton is wigged, wearing a loose wrap over a white shirt open at the neck. "Isaacus Newton Eq. Aur. Kneller Eques pinx. J.Smith fecit et ex. 1712". Isaac Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, he served as its President from 1703 to 1727.
