Crude white silver

Illustration of crude white sparkling silver ('argentum rude candidum micans'). Containing copper, quartz and pyrite marcasite. This sample was excavated in Schemnitz, Hungary. Plate 4 from Fossilium Metalla Et Res Metallicas Concernentium Glebae Suis Coloribus Expressae by Casimir Christoph Schmiedel (Nuremberg, Iohannis Michaelis Seligmanni, 1752). Inscribed, 'Tabula IV.
