Portrait of John Hunter (1728-1793)

Head and shoulders portrait of Hunter, pensive, with his left hand resting at his chin. Detail of Joshua Reynolds' portrait, now in the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Inscribed: "Reynolds Pinx.London, Published Jany. 1, 1788, by W.Sharp. Sharp Sculp" John Hunter was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1767.
