Plate 2 from the paper "On a new analysis of solar light, indicating three primary colours, forming coincident spectra of equal length", by David Brewster, originally published in Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, volume 12 (1834) pp.123-136. Inscribed upper right 'PLATE II. Roy. Soc. Tran. Vol.XII p.136.' Inscribed bottom right 'W.H.Lizars Sculpt..' Sir David Brewster (1781-1868) Scottish physicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1815.
