Plate 25 from the monograph "Description de quelques espÞce de reptiles de la Californieà ", by H M D de Blainville from Nouvelles Annales du Museum d'Histoire Naturelle, vol. 4 (1835). The plate is inscribed: "Nouv. Annales du Museum 1835. Pl: 25. PrÞtre pinxt. Impr: Lith. De Thierry Freres. Franke delt. 1. Phyrnosoma Coronatum. 2. Gerrhonotus multicarinatum." Henri Marie Ducrotay de Blainville (1777-1850), French zoologist and anatomist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1832.
