Ornithological study of an unidentified parrot or macaw from Brazil, shown perched on a low tree branch. Plate 229 from chapter 19 of Gleanings of natural history, exhibiting figures of quadrupeds, birds, insects, plants, &c..., by George Edwards, volume 1 (London, for the author, 1758). The plate is inscribed: "Geo Edwards Delin et Sculp. AD 1755"
