Marine zoological studies of the Leatherback turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). Three views showing the animal's upper and lower body, with a side view. Plate 29 from the book Historia testudinum iconibus illustrata by Johann David Schoepff (Erlangen, 1792). The illustration is inscribed below: "Testudo coriacea L. Testudo tuberculata Penn." The plate has been trimmed for binding, resulting in the loss of artist information
