Ornithological study of a female Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans) native to Australia. Plate 14 from Journal of a voyage to New South Wales...by John White (J.Debrett, London, 1790). The accompanying text states that: "The female differs [from the male] in having the upper parts of the neck and body of a greenish colour..." The plate is inscribed: "S.Stone Delin. Pennantian Parrot, Female. London Published Dec: 29, 1789, by I.Debrett."
